Ford Repair: 1993 Ford Aerostar 3.0 liter V6, ford aerostar, 1993 ford aerostar

Question
I tink either my fuel pump quit or the computer module quit. I tried to rule out the fuel pump by spraying starting fluid in the throttle body assembly while cranking it over. It did nothing. Can I assume it is an electrical problem? Yesterday I was driving it and it was bucking when it was under a load (driving up a hill) then suddenly it stopped all together.  It cranks but won't turnover. What should I try next to diagnose the problem? My vehicle is a 1993 Ford Aerostar V6 3.0 liter.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Get a fuel gage and verify that there is or isn't fuel pressure. Next, check for ignition. Remove a spark plug and place it close to ground. The crank the engine....you should see spark jumping to ground. You might also want to check the computer system for any faults.
Hope this helps,
Erik
