Ford Repair: rear brake caliper, rear brake caliper, rear rotors

Question
I'm changing out my rear rotors and pads. The pistons on both sides seem to be fully extended and i cannot contract them into the calipers. I tried using a C-clamp and a specialized tool, but piston would not budge. Please help!

97 Ford Mustang V6, no previous brake work..

Thanks,

Answer
Anthony-

First of all I should point out that the rear calipers are the screw-in type unlike the front calipers which can simply be pushed back in.  You may know this already...but it's a very common question I get.  If you ARE aware that they're screw-in calipers and that still hasn't worked, they may be frozen and in need of replacement.  Either that or you could find a shop to rebuild them.  Sometimes if the pistons extend too far they'll freeze and, though there's nothing really wrong with them, need to be rebuilt anyway.  Hope this helps.
