Ford Repair: 2000 Ford Explorer Vibration, head gasket, cracked head

Question
Hi Erik,
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer 4 door. 86,000 miles. I recently had the engine replaced due to a cracked head gasket about 3 weeks ago. Now, when ever I hit a bump or am slightly turning right over 55 miles per hour, my truck starts to shake violently until I slow down and then it stops. It does not shake all the time, just when turning right at higher speeds or hitting a bump. Can you help me?

Thanks

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
It's curious that it does this after the replacement of your engine. I don't think they are related, but you still might want to check the motor and transmission mounts to see if they are secure. I would also suggest that you take a look at the front tires, to check for a broken steel belt inside, as well as ALL of the front end components.
Hope this helps,
Erik
