Ford Repair: Check Engine Light, eddie bauer, bit 3

Hi, I have a 94' Ford Explorer, 6 cyl. Eddie Bauer, 2 door, 4X4. My check engine lite is coming on and then after a bit 3 - 20+ min. Goes off.  This only happens when I am on the freeway going 55+ or going up a hill.  I ran the OBE and only get one message in memory "186" Fault in injector pulse width circuit/high.
I can't find anything about that in my Chiltons.  Should I try a injector cleaner? As a start...or whould this be serious.  Further note, I am using 87 unleaded gas, as it is now 2.50 a gallon where I live. I have also developed a bit of a pinging.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 Your problem is electrical, not the quality of fuel you are using. What I would suggest you do is look at the tune up condition of the vehicle and also check the connections of the injectors, as well as the injectors themselves.
