Ford Repair: motor exchanges, ford broncoii, salvage yard

i have a 1984 ford broncoII with a 2.8 liter v6.
I am tired of fixing this motor  most people have told me to get a newer more reliable motor if i want to keep messing with this vehicle. I have found a 1995 ford ranger with a 3.0 v6. The 1995 has all of the wiring harness and all of the gismos that make it run  is this exchange possible?  mine is a maual 4  the 1995 is an automatic.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 I would consult a junk/salvage yard. I don't replace items that aren't meant for the vehicle.
What I could also suggest is that you try and get a 2.9L, not a 3.0L......which was the upgrade after the 2.8L
