Ford Repair: ENGINE LIGHT DOESNS COME ON AT ALL., tempture, battery connections

Question
MY 1993 FORD EXPLORER 4.0 .THE PROBLEM IS MY ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON AT ALL WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING OR BECAUSE THE CAR  IDLES STARTS TO FLUCTUATE OR SPUTER THEN JUST DIES OUT . THE CAR'S TEMPTURE GAUGE IS NORMAL. BUT THE REAL PROBLEM IS IT JUST DIES OUT .WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. NO FAULTY SIGNALS WERE GIVEN WHEN HOOKED UP TO A DIOGNOSTIC MACHINE. I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT.IT'S AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
What I would suggest you do is hook your vehicle back up to the scan tool and view the running system of the vehicle. Ford's electronic are usually reliable, and should of indicated a fault if there is a problem. You should also check the basics.....tune up, vac. lines, ignition timing, electrical connections, battery connections (+,-), and ALL the grounds.
Hope this helps,
Erik
