Ford Repair: 1989 Ranger - Not Charging, voltage regulator, fuses

Question
I have replaced the battery and alternator, the voltage regulator is mounted on the alternator and that is new. I have had these double checked that they are working. The truck's alt. light is on and the truck will not charge the battery. I have checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood, all are good. Any suggestions?
Thanks. David

Answer
David,

Are you sure that all your cables are good so that your battery holds a charge? If you all the components that you have listed are good, then something is not hooked up right because your voltage regulator, which is mounted on your altenator, charges your battery. One of them has to be bad or your wiring is wrong. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
