Ford Repair: electrical shock, ford taurus, electrical shock

Hi Erik,
    I have been trying to get an answer from my husband and his friends but I am having no such luck.  I have a 1994 Ford Taurus, that when I get out of it I get an electrical shock.  It wasn't so bad at first but it is very strong now.  For some reason I am the one that always gets shocked after driving and leaving vehicle. This has been going on for about 3 months now.  Please help.  Could you tell me what to do to make it stop. Thank You!

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 I've seen this before and it's happened to me.
What I would suggest you do is before attempting to leave the vehicle, touch the door, while still seated in it.
I actually found that a certain jacket that I was wearing was building up the static electrical charge.
