Ford Repair: Fuel guage, ford bronco, fuel guage

I have a 1986 Ford Bronco full size 4x4.  My fuel guage is not working.  I have traced the wires from the instrument panel down trough the chasis and down to fuel tank, none of the wires seem to be damaged.  Can you offer some more advice?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
In you travels through the wiring --you should have come across a yellow wire with a white tracer....take that wire cut and gound the vehicle side of it........turn the key on......your gage should now read full. IF it does, you need to replace the fuel sending unit or replace the brass float in the tank. IF it doesn't read full, replace the gage.
