Ford Repair: oil leak, rear main oil seal, ford bronco

Question
i have a 84 ford bronco ll which i just got after it has sat for 2 years the carburator was flooding and i just got that fixed..now theres a major oil leak right behind the oil pan looks like it is coming from transmission fly wheel cover..is it the rear main seals or what and can i fix it on my own..

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
There are a few places that you need to check--Valve cover gaskets, rear main oil seal, intake gasket. If you are positive that it is leaking from the rear main oil seal, there are one of two ways you can repair this. One is remove the engine, the other is remove the transmission.
