Ford Repair: starting 1994 ford 150 automatic 3/4 ton, neutral safety switch, contack

DAVE, I have a 1994 150 pick-up. When I try to start I get no contack to starter just blank. however when I jump solinoid it starts right up. I replaced solinoid and no difference. Battery is new so that should not be my problem also it turns over when i jump solinoid. every once in a while it will start by key. also my shift [automatic] is off a little like I have to put in nutural to be in drive, reverse is partly in park etc.    HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME>   THANK YOU RON butkus56@aol.com

It sounds like your neutral safety switch is not completing the starter circuit, because your transmission shifter needs to be adjusted.  I'm not sure which transmission you have, but most should be adjusted while in neutral.
