Ford Repair: Mercury Sable front end noise, 2001 mercury sable, mercury sable

My 2001 Mercury Sable with 75,000 miles has a knocking noise coming from the front end whenever I hit a bump in the road. I had a mechanic look at it and he said he couldn't find the problem. I believe he checked the struts, wheel bearings, tie rods.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would check out a little more then he did. such as, frame mountings, tires, steering rack, motor and transmission mounts----in other words, a complete inspection, not just the usual things.
