Ford Repair: starting engine ford truck, firing order, ford truck

i am trying to start my 300 six,i have fire to the plug have fuel check timing still will not fire also put new roto in going to check compression out next.if you have any ideal what wrong would like to hear from you.thank  you  jerry  this is a 1984 ford half ton truck

Hello and thanks for your question...I'll try to help.
 I would first make sure that the firing order is correct.
1-5-3-6-2-4
Next, are you getting spark to ALL of the plugs? Check to make sure you are.
You said you are getting fuel-is that up to the carb? Were you able to see fuel pump out of the accelerator port in the carb when the throttle is fully depressed/pumped?
Next, try some ether (starting fluid)--lightly spray it in the carb, then try turning it over.......
