Ford Repair: Parking brake?, brake cables, rear brakes

I own a 1996 ford ranger manual transmission,
when i release the parking brake, it will not
roll down the driveway, it feels like there is
something holding it from moving, even when i put it in gear and try to accelerate, i can feel it trying
to pule, but it will not move.

Hi Paul,
Pull the rear brakes apart. Sounds like something broke loose back there. It may also be the park brake cables are frozen up. LIft up the rear of the truck and see if it's just one rear wheel that won't turn. If it's one wheel then fix that set of brakes. If both won't turn, it's probably the cables. GOOD LUCK!
