Ford Repair: Starting a car that has sat for over 1 year, mustang 289, half ounce

Question
I have a 1965 Mustang (289).  I have not started the car in over 1 year.  Should I lubrcate the valvs and if so with what and how.  

I have been told to pull the plugs and squirt oil in each chamber.  I have also been told to us other lubercan such as WD 40 or 3 in 1 oil.  

What do you recommend?

i dont think you need to do anything.i would drain the gas and put in new as gas laquers.i you need anything pull the plugs and put about a half ounce of motor oil in the cyclinders.if you do this RUN the car until it doesnt smoke anymore. hope this helps.
