Ford Repair: REMOVE GOVONER FROM TRUCK, cold air intake, diablosport predator

I HAVE A 2003 FORD RANGER W/3.0 AUTO/OD THE WARRANTY JUST RAN OUT AND I WANT MORE TOP END SPEED.I WONDER WHAT THE NEW CHIP WOULD COST AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED ON THE TRUCK.

  Honestly a chip won't do much for a stock 3.0L truck, but if you're set on a chip I'd recommend the Diablosport Predator.  Rather than a set tune like regular chips, the Predator plugs into your computer and allows you to set your own tune and change it as much as you'd like without buying new chips all the time.  Price on them (I honestly don't remember at the moment) is something like $200...maybe a bit more.  Well worth it considering you'll only have to buy it once.  I would also recommend other upgrades like a good exhaust system and a cold air intake along with the chip.  Hope this helps.
