Ford Repair: Brake Leak on 87 Bronco II, ford bronco ii, 1987 ford bronco ii

Question
I have a 1987 Ford Bronco II 4WD, where should I begin.  I was changing the fuel filter on my truck and when I brought it down off the ramp I had no brake pressure.  I check the fluid and added more and when I pumped the brakes noticed that it was leaking.  I managed to find where I think it is leaking from but I am unsure as to how to describe it.  If you where to start at the Master Cylinder follow the hoses that come off it, it seems like it goes into a conector and then on the other side of the conector is where it is leaking.  There was a screw on it and I tried to tighten it but it was not loose.  When I push on the pedal it will go to the floor quickly but will come up slower like there is  pressure.  I apologize for my lack of description but any help that you can provide would a wonderful.  I have look through so many manuals and don't know what to do.  I was unsure if i needed to replace that connector (sorry not sure what it is called) or if it is a brake hose/line.   Thanks again for all your help.

Answer
Do you have ABS? The first thing in line after the master cylinder is either the "proportioning valve" or the "RABS" valve. If you have ABS the RABS valve needs to be replaced. If you don't have ABS the the Proportioning valve may be leaking. If they are not leaking then you may have a leaking brake line. If the line is leaking, replace it and bleed the system after replaceing any part.
