Ford Repair: 289 engine upgrade, performer intake manifold, 1967 mustang

Question
I have a 1967 mustang w/ a 289 2V engine.  I am starting to make some performance upgrades leaning more towards the RestoMod side of things.  I am adding a 4bbl carb (Autolite 4100 from ponycarbs) an Edelbrock 289 performer intake manifold but my question is on the next steps.  I want to modify the exhaust and possiably cam and heads.  My first question is whether to go with a Hi-Po exhaust manifold or headers (my desire is not to drag or race but just to have a really good meaty daily driver car)...I am also wanting to add duel exhaust if that makes a differance.  Next is whether the cost is worth upgrading to a roller cam and if not, a good cam to upgrade to.  Lastly if replacing the heads on the engine is worth it to top off the performance upgrade
Thanks so much for your time, I really appreciate it

Answer
Mr. Robertson,

To answer your first question, I would go with dual exhaust over headers. They are less trouble and sounds better. As far as upgrading the performance of your engine, your best bet is to go with Edelbrock, which has a performance kit, which includes intake, heads, cam and carbuerator, depending on where you want to get your horse power, low end, mid range or high end or a compromise of the three. Hope that this helps and good luck.
