Ford Repair: Horn on 94 Ford F-150, ford f 150, clockspring

Question
the horn on my truck dosnt work how do i fixs that? Its a 1994 Ford F-150

Answer
Matt:

Your horn failure could be related to a number of different components, the horn itself, the horn switch (part of the airbag), the clockspring (allows the horn and airbag to function no matter what position the steering wheel is in), the wiring, the horn relay, and of course the fuse.  I'd start by checking the fuse, and then move to installing a known good relay for the horn.  You can test the horn by checking for voltage at the horn while someone presses the button (using test light or multi-meter).  I would not suggest performing any diagnosis on the horn switch or clockspring due to the risk of airbag inflation.
