Ford Repair: Lowbeam headlight inoperable, betting man, 1996 ford explorer

Question
My passenger side headlight stopped working. Thought it was the bulb, changed it..still not working. Checked main headlight fuse and also the power box fuse. All good. Also the driving lights are not working at this time as well. I inspected the plug connection to verify if the prongs were not damaged, not sure what I am looking for. I do not see any visible breaks in the wiring at this time. Have not had any problems with the lights until now ( 2 days ago)
I have a 1996 Ford Explorer ( Limited Edition)
2WD, 6 cyl.Can you help or advise accordingly please... Thanks JW

Answer
John:

There are two common possibilities: first the headlamp out monifor (located inside center console), or the multi-function switch located in the steering column.  If I were a betting man, i'd bet on the headlamp monior inside center console.
