Ford Repair: Starting, rotor wire, reputable repair shop


Question
I have a 1990 Ford Sable with a 3.0 l engin,it was running with no troble then it stopped "No Spark" the engin will crank over but will not start.I have replaced the cap,rotor,wire lead to coil,and the coil,still no start.I have gas upto the injectors yet still no start.What else should be checked? Sencors???

You could have a bad ignition module. You will have to unplug the electrical connector from the base of the distributor. Make sure you have all the of the primary wires and all of the wires tightly connected. You can pull the module and take it to your local reputable auto parts store (such as Auto Zone or Advanced Auto or Napa) and they can test it for you. If you wish to test the ignition module yourself and do not know how, please contact me again and I can instruct you further. The other thing you can do, if it is not the ignition module, is take your car to your local reputable repair shop and have them place it on a scan tool. Hope that this helps. Good luck.
