Ford Repair: 1968 Mustang Power Steering leaks, power steering leaks, pitman arm

Question
I have a 1968 Mustang with 289.
I have had to replace 4 leaking Power Steering hoses
in the last 2 months.
The Hose is the the pressure hose Pump to control valve.
The problem is when put in the hose just barely touches the pitman arm.
The metal tube cracks further up.
We have tried different remanufactured hoses.
Are these different from the original?
Is there a solution?
Why am I having this problem?

Answer
Mike,

You have 1 or 2 problems. One is, you are not routeing the hose correctly if it is hitting or touching the pitman arm or 2, you are building up too much pressure in your system, which would probably be a bad control valve. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
