Ford Repair: turn signals, filament bulbs, double filament

Question
a few days ago the left signal started to click faster than normal when in use   now I have no turn signal on the left side  I changed the rear bulbs cause the brake light was out . this started the clicking a couple of days after I went for the emmision test.

Answer
The turn signal flashes fast when there is less electrical load on the circuit.  You probably have a bad or incorrect bulb.  I have seen customers install single filament bulbs when the socket requires a double filament bulbs.  Check all of the bulbs on the left side, some vehicles have two or more bulbs per lens.

An emissions test wouldn't cause any problems with your vehicle.

I hope this helps,
