Ford Repair: hasnt ran in over 2 years, fuel filter, transmission fluid

Question
I have been offered a 89 Probe for a song. Just take it away! The problem is that it hasn't run for over 2 years. It ran perfectly before that. What exactly should I do in terms of lubricating of the cylinders before initial start up? And can you suggest any other processes that I should do before hand as to not damage the engine or any other valuable parts?   Thank you in advance.

Answer
Wayne,

I do not think that you need to pour oil or transmission fluid (if you use this, you will need to change your oil after ward) down the cyclinders. However if you wish to do this you can (pour about 2 tablespoons worth into the cylinder). Also perform normal maintenance, such as oil change, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter. Also let me remind you that the engine in that year Probe is a Mitsubishi and parts are very expensive to replace. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
