Ford Repair: keyless/remote entry, alarm security system, keyless entry system

My son has a 1990 Thunderbird LX.It's got all the toy's including a factory keyless entry system that works fine. Can I get a remote(key fob)for that car? When I try to find one it appears that they all start with the 1993 model year,will that remote work or was this this not available for the 1990? Also,could the car have a factory alarm/security system in it and if so how can I activate it.

The system in question is probably a dealer installed keyless entry system that was sold through Ford Motor Company Dealers.  Best bet to find a new remote would be on ebay or the like.  As for security system, alot of those systems were integrated with a theft alarm.  Without seeing the module it is very hard to tell whether or not the system is equipped.
