Ford Repair: ABS LIGHT, reputable repair shop, auto mechanic

Question
ABS LIGHT WENT ON ON MY 96 WINDSTAR. ALL BREAKS HAVE BEEN CHECKED BY AUTO MECHANIC WITH NO RESULTS. WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON PROBLEMS AND PROCEDURES FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. BREAKS SEEM TO WORK PROPERLY. THANK YOU FOR ANY ADVISE.

Answer
Mr. Kranc,

The purpose of antilock is for when you stomp on your brakes and skid, is to keep your vehicle relatively straight instead of going out of control. I would check the connections at the wheel because there is a plug there that connects to the sensor. Make sure that everything is connected properly and that nothing is loose. The other thing that you could do would be to have the vehicle placed on a scan tool to clear the code or fix it, which you would need to take your vehicle to a reputable repair shop for this. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
