Ford Repair: Change oil pan, shadetree mechanics, change oil

I have a Ford E-150 Econoline 1993 straight-6 cylinder with a rusted oil pan that I need to change,can I do it at home? I hear it is a very hard job.Thankyou  Ron

  It's not something I would recommend doing yourself unless you have the tools and are very mechanically inclined.  It will involve lifting the engine up (or supporting it as the front suspension is dropped) which is something most shadetree mechanics just don't have the tools to do.  If worse came to worse and you had to do it yourself, if could be possible with the right manuals and tools...but I'd leave it to a shop to do.  Hope this helps.
