Ford Repair: 351C 2V 2bl, mach 1, 2bl

Question
As you can see in the subject, I have a '71 Mach 1 with a 351 Cleveland (2V) 2bl engine.  I've asked questions around different forums and read other articles but I'm still confused because of some of the conflicting reports.  My questions are as follows:

1) What is the difference between the 2V and 4V?
2) Can I just put a 4bl carb (Holley 600CFM) and a new 4 barrel intake manifold without having to change the heads?
3) If I can put the carb and the intake manifold without changing the heads, when I go to put on headers, do I still need to choose the 2V version of the headers because of the heads?

Again, any help you can provide is very appreciated.

Thanks,

-Rick

Answer
Mr. Haynes,

1) The difference between a 2v and a 4v is that the 2v is a 2 bbl and the 4v is a 4 bbl.

2) Yes, you can put an aftermarket cabuerator and 4 bbl manifold on without changing the heads.

3) To my knowledge there is no such thing as 2 bbl or 4 bbl headers, so you can put on whatever headers you choose. If you put headers on the vehicle and it has power steering you will need a lowering bracket for your steering box so that the header will fit.

Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
