Ford Repair: brakes, rear brakes, wheel cylinders

Question
94fordf2504x4  brakes were completely redone ft&rear, pulls to left when brakes applied.has good brakes but soft peddle that goes to floor as pressure is applied. he started out just to change back brakes which (actually everything was fine), then started running into problems, so with other suggestions continued replacing other parts till ended up with complete brake job but still those problems.   thank you CRC

Answer
A brake pedal that slowly goes to the floor usually indicates a bad master cylinder (internal seal leak).  If is has a "soft" pedal and not a low pedal, there might be air in the system. Brake pulls can be caused by a lot of different things.  Make sure all air is removed, the caliper slides are cleaned and lubed, the rubber brake hoses aren't twisted or pinched, wheel cylinders aren't seized, and rear brakes shoes are adjusted properly.

I hope this helps,
Dave
