Ford Repair: 93 ford escort, ford escort wagon, mr huang

I have a question about my 93 ford escort wagon. there is a warning light "lifgate Ajar Light" comes on indicate the liftgate(trunk door of the wagon) is not fully closed. I can't find a switch on the door frame or the door. the other four door can easily locate the switch. could you tell me where this switch is located?

Mr. Huang,

The switch should be located somewhere near the latch. However, the problem here is that Ford went to a sensor as opposed to a switch the same year as your car. So, if you have a sensor as opposed to the switch, your sensor is probably bad and will need to be replaced. Hope that this helps and good luck.
