Ford Repair: 1988 Ford Taurus fuel injection, inertia switch, ford taurus

Question
We have a 1988 Ford Taurus 6 cylinder. While son-inlaw was replacing battery, he reversed polarity. I installed new celenoid. The car cranks, but will not start.Seems there is no gas flow. Where is the fuel pump reset switch, and how do I reset it? We do not have the manual for lookup. Any help would be appreciated. If this does not work, any other suggestions? Thank you.

Answer
Matt,

For the fuel reset switch, look in the trunk on the left side on the wall of the trunk. You will find your inertia switch (fuel reset). Listen for the fuel pump to kick in while starting your vehicle and if you do not hear it, it would appear that you have a bad fuel pump. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
