Ford Repair: air conditioning, freon leak, coolant

Question
I really have a question about the old type a/c that use freon. I was thinking because its a general question that you would have the answer.

Our  '93 Towncar a/c has freon leak and we're told that this "old" type of freon can't be obtained anymore.
Are there any options for repairing?

Any information that you can share we appreciate very much.

Thanking you in advance,
aj

Answer
AJ,

The only option you have is to purchase a retrofit kit. Of course you will need to repair the leak in your air conditioning system as well. Once you have the retro fit kit installed, you will be able to use the newer coolant in your car. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Good luck,

Ken
