Ford Repair: changing motors in a 78 bronco, 351c, 351w

Question
I would like to take a 351m out of a 78 bronco it has a auto trans & would like to keep that tranny in & put a 302 in can i do it or do i have change the tranny

you would have to at least change the bellhousing.  C6 transmissions do not have a seperate bellhousing so it cannot be done with them.  The 351M uses the 429-460 style transmission while the 351C uses the 302-351W style transmission.  You would also have to change your motor mounts as well as exhaust
