Ford Repair: Disc Brakes on 1966 6 cyl Coupe, mustangs unlimited, geometry problem

Question
My brother had this in storage when he passed away and on my driving it, the front would cause me to nearly run off the road on the slightest bump.  Everything seems good except the front spindles appear to be off a Fairlane. the code is C6OA9108F. (Spindle) Also the Tie rod ends (All V8 steering components) do not tighten correctly without shimming the tapered seat.  Stock styled wheels rub the calipers.  Was this a common swap years ago before the kits of today and if so, how do I correct the obvious geometry problem?  I suspect, I'll have to redo with the proper spindles.  If so, where do I start?  Thanks in advance!

Answer
Mr. Turner,

You have the wrong front end in your Mustang. I have never heard of anyone ever using a front end from a Fairlane. You can use a 75-80 Granada front end or Versalles(sp) front end. Or you can buy the front end kit from a vendor, such as Mustangs Unlimited. Their web site is: www.mustangsunlimited.com. Hope that this helps you and good luck.
