Ford Repair: Motor Swap 302 to 5.4 FI, ford f 100, cam motor

Question
I am considering putting a '99 5.4 V8 engine and transmission from a Lincoln Navigator into a 1969 Ford F-100 that currently has a 302 and C4 automatic.  I am trying to find information on what modifications would be necessary and if there are any adapter kits for motor mounts, etc. that might be available?

Thanks!

The biggest problem you'll hit here is actually getting the motor into the truck.  You'd be better off finding a wrecked Lincoln as a donor car for the motor, transmission, wiring, and assorted electronic equipment.  As for the engine cradle (or K-member) and motor mounts...those may be a bit tough to come by.  I know Ford did a show car a year or so ago that was a restored F-100 (at least I think it was an F-100) with a new 5.0L overhead cam motor they were hocking so I know it's at least possible.  But then again they're Ford and they could throw $100,000 at a show car and not think twice about it.  If I had to guess I'd say you're probably looking at some custom work with the K-member, engine mounts, and transmission mounts.  The best people I know of to ask would be the guys over at Sean Hyland Motorsports (throw "www" in front of that and you've got their website).  They work exclusively on modular motors and I've seen them fabricate K-members before.  I'd be suprised if they couldn't work something up...just don't expect it to be on the cheap.  Hope this helps.
