Ford Repair: A/C problem with Ford Escort, self hope, ford escort

Question
I have a '98 Ford Escort SE sport.  Pretty much everything works fine on it.  I noticed earlier today that there was a sloshing noise behind the glove compartment.  Pretty soon afterwards, water would spill out at the passenger's feet whenever I turn, accelerate, or brake.  Someone I know had a similar problem a while back and fixed it by replacing some A/C components.  I do not know which compnents were replaced, but the cost was ~$300-400 (parts+labor).  I was wondering if there is a way for me to fix this myself at minimal cost.  I live in Texas and running the A/C less is not an option.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
MArtin,

Pull the glove box down and see which pipe is leaking and fix/replace it. It sounds like your evaporator core is bad and that is relatively cheap to replace (around 50 bucks) and an easy job for you to do your self. Hope that this helps. Good luck.
