#1 cylinder is not firing until accelerated. Juice to plug. Plug indicates ignition at higher rpm

if the #1 cyclinder is not firing there is a problem in the ignition system.i would check the ignition moudle located on the driver side fenderwell.hope this helps.

Thanks Ken. Would this be the probable cause even tho the cylinder seems to fire intermittently?? I know it is getting juice to the plug etc. Does it take special equipment to check the module?
Thanks
George

Answer
George,

You need a volt meter to check this. You also want to check for resistance as well. Remove each spark plug wire and measure them for their resistance as well. Each should be less than 30,000 ohms. Sorry for the long response time but I was experiencing technical difficulty by way of the telephone company. Hopefully, it is fixed now. Good luck and if you need further help, please let me know.
