Ford Repair: 88 mustang swap, test light, drive train


Question
I swapped a complete wire harness/eec and drive train from an 88 gt conv into an 88 lx 2.3. The only wires I didnt change were the dash wires because the seemed the same. I cant get any spark from the coil at all and the fuel pump wont turn on. Can you help me?

you need to get a good wiring diagram and start tracing every wire in your engine bay.  use a test light to make sure your EEC computer gets power when the keys on and make sure the spark plugs are firing.  The fuel pump may have had its manual fuel shut off switch turned off, check that, its in the trunk.  If that fails to be the problem, trace the wires from the pump, and hook them to a selnoid that you must wire to turn on with a hot ignition wire.
