Ford Repair: Efi to carb conversion, transmission control module, baumann engineering

Question
Okay, I don't know if you can help but I don't know where else to turn. Is there any way to convert a Ford Triton engine to carburated? If you can't help can you possibly direct me to someone who can?

Virtually any engine can be converted to carb from an EFI setup.  The biggest problems you'll run into are wiring issues (especially on motors with distributorless ignition systems...otherwise known as EDIS) and transmission issues.  Granted, I don't know a ton about truck motors like the Tritons, but I've done a few EFI-to-carb conversions and they usually go pretty smoothly.  First thing to remember is that you'll need a stand-alone ignition system (which is what makes it so hard to run on an EDIS motor).  Without the computer to control the ignition you'll need something else.  Also, on many automatic tranmissions you'll have trouble with kickdown linkages (or in the AOD's case the TV linkage).  That said, many of the newer electronically controlled transmissions such as the AODE and the E4OD don't use these linkages but will need a processor to tell them when to shift such as the Baumann Engineering TCS (transmission control module) which can be had for around $400 or so at www.baumannengineering.com.  I'd go around to speed shops in your area and ask if they be willing to do the swap.  Speed shops are preferable to regular shops since they're used to fabricating things and making things work that most other shops can't.  Hope this helps.
