Ford Repair: Explorer Transmission, bronco ii, time brian

Dear Ken,
 I own a 1994 Ford Explorer with four wheel drive, and a five speed manual. It recently decided to self-destruct the manual five speed. I was wondering if your can inform me about what transmissions will swap into this rig? I have learned that the Ranger and the Bronco II have the same five speed but i dont know what years.
Did the Explorer kept the same five speed after 1994, or did it change after 1995?

i would go with a automatic.all you would need to change is the bell housing and linkage.ford had a MAJOR problem with these trannys.they did improve after 94,97 and up were ok.i would not use a ranger or broncoll because of the ratio.hope this helps.
