Ford Repair: 5.0 fuel injected engine in a 67 car, digital fuel injection, handheld controller


Question
i want to install a 92 fuel injected 5.0 in my 67 mustang. i will also be replacing the c-4 tranny with a 92 t-5 tranny. i would like to know if you forsee any major problems with this type of conversion. any coments would be most appriated.

  It's a pretty straightforward swap so long as you've go all of the right stuff to do it.  The wiring is the hardest part...Painless Wiring makes a stock-spec wiring harness that I've heard makes things a bit easier.  Easier still is the SDS injection digital fuel injection setup.  It has a stand alone computer that is tuneable via a small handheld controller and only uses 4 or 5 sensors.  It installs in about 1/4 of the time of a stock-type setup.  Other than that just cross your "T"s and make sure you've got everything.  Hope this helps.
