Ford Repair: fuel pressure, boss 351, fuelpump

Question
I Have A boss 351 in a kit car . did this engine have a fuel regulator? Can I run fuel line direct to carb {holly 750 double pump}from tank/fuelpump with no pressure reglation? thanks for any info.

Answer
Bill-

Originally the carb'ed 351s didn't have regulators but they ran fairly low pressure.  Whether or not you'll need one depends on how much pressure you're running and how many GPH.  I'd say anything under 7psi and 125GPH or so should be safe without a regulator whether it's an electric or mechanical pump.  Anything higher than that and I'd start looking at regulators.  Hope this helps.
