Honda Repair: 90 Accord accelerating issues, timing belts, facebook

Question
Hi my accord is a 2.2 manual trans. I just had my water pump replaced do to a leak, the mechanic said I should change the timing belts at the same time, so I did. Now here's the problem, my car has always been super quick out the gate until I picked it up yesterday, now I have to put the pedal to the floor to even get it to move, both 1st & 2nd are to the extreme sluggish, once i get going its seems ok, but nowhere near how it used to drive, also noticed my mpg is not the same. The mechanic is saying he doesn't know what it is, that it came that way, I and everyone that has driven that car up until he replaced those parts know that's bull! Please help, I love my car.

Answer
To be honest, there is not much you can do. Probably the best you can do is make a big deal about it. Be nice about it, but be firm. Go to the manager and complain to him, go to his boss if there is any way you can. If they don't seem to car then go to the D.A. of your state and complain to them (this probably won't do any good, but if they get a lot of complaints about one shop they probably would check it out).
Other than that, just make sure they know that you will never take any of your cars there again and you will advise all of your friends to not take their cars there. Tell them you will post it on Facebook for all to see as well. There is no need to do all of this in a mad sort of way, just be matter of fact.
This sounds extreme, but most likely you will have to cut your losses and take your car to another mechanic.
I hope this has helped.
