Honda Repair: Honda Passport pwr steering, honda passport, power steering fluid

Question
I have a 1988 Honda Passport 6 cyl. I replaced the pwr steering reservoir and now I apparently have air in the system. What is the best way to bleed the system?

Thanks.

Answer
Power steering systems are self-bleeding. Just fill the reservoir and start the engine. Let it run for a few min, then add power steering fluid if needed. Then start the engine and turn the steering wheel from one side to the other. Then check the fluid again. Do this until it doesn't take any more.
You might have to wait a while between steps as the fluid will aerate when it is low so you have to wait for all the bubbles to be out of it.
