Honda Repair: injectors, honda civic ex, d16y8

ok so i have a 1996 honda civic ex 5 speed d16y8 and when the key is in the on position my injectoers have power but as soon as i crank it over it pulses once then loses power i just replaced the main relay and fuel pump and im getting fuel to the rail it will start with starting fluid and im stumped thanks

Andrew, can only be 2 things causing this. The ignition switch is failing you by not staying in the 'on' position to tell your ECU when to open the injectors. Or the ECU is bad. Whichever this will throw a (CEL) check engine code. You should evaluate the CEL. Start here.
