Question
My car kept cutting off so I got a fuel pressure gauge kit. I found online the pressure shoul be between 40 and 47. Mine was reading at 38 so I replaced the fuel pump. It still was not reading high enough so today I replaced the fule filter. Now the pressure is between 35 and 38. What else could be the problem. I don't want to keep spending money and not gettign teh problem fixed

Answer
Penny, could be the injectors or the fuel rail. But, doubtful. 80% of the time it is the fuel filter and the fuel pump. You should try using an injector cleaner or a gas treatment. I prefer Lucas brand fuel system cleaners. Or you could purchase a gallon or 2 of race fuel (108) octane with about 5 gallons of low grade fuel. This will clean out the impurities and/or deposits in the system.
