Honda Repair: 1990 Accord LX Headliner, honda accord lx, custom sunroof

Hi there,

My name is David and I own a 1990 Honda Accord LX. When I bought the car it was missing the Headliner. I am trying to install a new headliner but I don't seem to find one that would actually fit my car. I bought a used one at a local junk yard but id didn't fit the car. I believe the sunroof set up or assembly of my car is a little different from the rest of the 1990-93 accord models. The sunroof set up of my car actually has the sunroof motor in the front side of the sunroof by the windshield and not on the back in the middle of the headliner. Also, the sunroof switch on the roof as part of the headliner and not next to the cruise control switch in the dash board like most of the models. I am starting to think that my car model is like the weirdest one out there. By any chance do you know where can I find a headliner for my car? Do you know if my car is like the only car with a different sunroof set up? I have not been able to find one similar to my car. Thank you in advance and to to hear from you soon.

David, ummm... no. Not gonna happen. Someone installed that sunroof aftermarket which is why you are having issues. The reason the headliner was missing when you purchased the car is due to the fact that the sunroof was leaking onto the headliner previously. Of course the previous owner will not tell you this because it would hurt the sale of the vehicle to you! Whichever i wouldn't worry about it until you can get a custom headliner installed to match your custom sunroof/moonroof.
