Honda Repair: 1999 Honda Accord, fuel pump relay, honda accord

Question
My Honda stalled out as if out of gas and will not restart. I have half a tank of gas. had it towed home and tested the electronics and showed no codes. Changed out spark plugs and checked the rotor button. The fuel pump  is pumping. finally it started after pumping and holding down the gas it took about 25 minutes of continual trying. once started it runs fine after shutting off it will not restart without the pumping and turning over the ignition continually. what have I overlooked?

Answer
Beth, replace the fuel pump. Just because the fuel pump is working (turning-on) doesn't mean it is operating at the right Psi's or pressure. That accord's fuel system is pressurized and needs to maintain about 40's-60's psi at the rail. Also, there is a relay for the fuel control that other people have replaced with this similar issue, but, only corrected the issue about 30% of the time. In my opinion replace the fuel pump, relay and swap out the fuel filter too.
