Honda Repair: Car leak and other, synthetic engine oil, transparent honey

Question
I own a 03 TL. I notice from the other day when it rain my floor gets wet on both the passenger and driver side. right below the brake and the gas pedals. if I push my hand up to the wires under and up to the steering column  its dry.. but the floor is wet going down to the flat. what could this be? where do i need to go to get it fix and how much estimated would it cost?

Also, when you open the cap on the engine, are you suppose to see oil in the engine? when checking regular oil, where should it show on the dip stick and what color or texture?
I am not sure if I am asking these questions the correct way.. Hope I didn't confuse you!

Thanks

Answer
Crystal, 2003 TL - i have only worked on a few of these cars a couple of times. But, from my past experiences dealing with this similar situation on other Honda's it has came down to the drainage ports on the sunroof becoming clogged with debris. Fix is to use compressed air to blow out the blockage of debris from the tubes. Or the tubes have become undone and the water is leaking directly onto your floorboards. Or your windshield has been replaced and they did not seal the windshield 100%.

When the cap is removed from the engine oil you are not supposed to see oil at all. But, internally you should see mechanical components and they will look 'wet' or saturated in a light layer of oil. When checking the engine oil there will be 2 dots on the dipstick. The lower dot is an indication that you are 1 quart low on oil and should be added too. The upper dot is that you are operating at the proper level of engine oil. The color should be a light almost transparent honey colored tint. If your engine oil on the dipstick is dark or dirty looking have the engine oil changed. You should be checking your engine oil once a month. And depending on your driving habits or miles per commute your oil can be changed every 3,000 miles. Or if you use synthetic engine oil the interval will be 7,500 miles.
