Honda Repair: Tail lights, rear marker, honda accord ex

Question
I have a 94' Honda Accord EX that I recently had worked on. We did some re wiring to eliminate the hot wiring that was done on it prior. Now my tail lights won't come on. The switch on the steering wheel was changed and the wire were checked in the trunk and all the relays under the hood and under the steering wheel near the floor were checked and they all seem fine. Even a little square computer box looking thing was changed. Could there be another relay somewhere? Or any other reason I don't have tail lights? All other lights work except dash lights. Thanks

Answer
Sam, sounds like you have some major issues going on in different areas of this car. First, the rear tail lights are not working. So is it the rear marker lights not working or the actual brake lights or both? Whichever these are connected on one circut connected to each other for support. They are wired together in unison as well. I would check that all the grounds are attached in the right locations in the rear trunk area near the wiring harness. Then start the painstaking visual inspection of all the rear tail light wiring. The damage or modification done to the factory wiring has to be there. The dash lights are an entirely different system and have many different options that can cause them to fail. You should take this to a wiring professional. Or a stereo shop might be another option. These companies are trained professionally and know exactly where to look for certain components to check for issues. Might cost a little bit of money but would be worth your while!
